11 Things You Should do on Bad Days

11 Things You Should do on Bad Days

On bad days, it's nice to have a list of self care ideas you can pull out to help make things a little better, or even to proactively keep up with self care so you feel better in general.

Here are 11 things you can do on bad days.

  • Take A Bath
Take a bath, reflect, relax. Know that tomorrow will be a better day. Change how you feel. Release all your stress and relax.
  • Read a Good Book/ Self Development Book

A good book will definitely make your day better. No matter how much stress you have at work, in your personal relationships, or countless other issues faced in daily life, it all just slips away when you lose yourself in a great story.

A well-written novel can transport you to other realms, while an engaging article will distract you and keep you in the present moment, letting tensions drain away and allowing you to relax.

  • Have A Solo Dance Party
Have fun, be yourself. Relax! Be yourself.

Dancing in particular can quickly bring you into a state of euphoria much like that induced by recreational drugs

Why? Because in dancing you express yourself. You create art. You connect with music and your partner. Dancing engages another part of your brain that swimming, running, cycling, and many other forms of exercise does not.

  • Listen to Music

Music and mood are closely interrelated -- listening to a sad or happy song on the radio can make you feel more sad or happy. However, such mood changes not only affect how you feel, they also change your perception.

For example, people will recognize happy faces if they are feeling happy themselves. So, listen to some nice music!:D

  • List 10 things you are Grateful For
Gratitude is something that will definitely lift your mood. You will realise how fortunate you are. Write down 10 or more things that you are grateful for having in your life, whether it be someone or something.

  • Try A Guided Meditation

When you feel stressed, you simply have to breathe and then identify the stress as “feeling” (it’s okay to say this aloud) and focus back on the present moment (and breathing helps with this by tethering you back into reality).

  • Take A Walk in the Park.
Go for a walk. This is another way which you can relax your mind. On a bad day, you would most likely be really stressed out. A walk in the park will do you wonders when you feel stressed.

Stop everything you are doing and go out for a walk. Get out of the house and allow your mind to relax.

  • Watch a Funny show/ movie
Laugh a little. Remember those 'Try Not to Laugh' videos? Go watch them and have a little laugh, immediately you will feel better!

  • Declutter you Home
This would also help to 'declutter' your mind. By cleaning o=up the space you live in, you will unconsciously get a clearer mind. Which would be great when you are having a bad day.

  • Drink a Glass of water/ Take Three deep breathes
Both drinking a glass of water and taking three deep breaths will allow you to relax yourself physically.

As you sit comfortably with your eyes closed, blend your breathing with helpful imagery and a focus word or phrase that will help you relax. Imagine that the air you breathe in washes peace and calm into your body. As you breathe out, imagine that the air leaving your body carries tension and anxiety away with it. As you inhale, try saying this phrase to yourself: "Breathing in peace and calm." And as you exhale, say: "Breathing out tension and anxiety." When you first start, 10 minutes of breath focus is a reasonable goal. Gradually add time until your sessions are about 15 to 20 minutes long. Source.

5 Steps to Being Productive

5 Steps to Being Productive Firstly, What is being Productive? Productivity is often describes a person's capability to do a lot of work, but is can refer to anything that produces a lot. A Productive day would mean to complete more things in a less amount of time but also doing it effectively.   Productivity is the amount of output produced per work hour. In other words, the calculation is: Productivity = output / work hours. Here are some points to remember, Sleep. Sleep more. I know it can be tempting to stay up at night to do whatever do but you would wake up the next day feeling more exhausted. Its hard to be productive while yawning and trying to stay awake.
